After a lifetime of devoting equal attention to science and art, I no longer separate the scientific method from the artistic process. Thankfully, deep observation and meticulous attention to detail are valuable tools in both pursuits. So, either I created artworks as an outlet for my scientific inquiry or I pursued science to do justice to my artistic subjects. Either way, I hope my appreciation for both disciplines is clear through my work. Slainte’!
